The Day My Wife Was Born

Many people don’t believe me when I tell them that I knew what I was doing the day my wife, Carrie, was born, but I do.

Here’s a studio photo of me at 13 months. And no, I no longer own that outfit or that stuffed animal. Too bad, the toy looks fun, but the outfit probably would no longer fit.

Notice the superb balance that I’m showing off. Also, my concentration on the photographer shows the early development of a strong mind. I might have even been whistling a new tune I’d learned, but now I am just speculating.

Carrie and I were looking at this photo with my mother when she pulled it out of a family picture album. When we turned it over, we were all speechless. May 28, 1963 is the day Carrie was born. Now how about that?!

Do you believe in destiny?
